Have A Plan To Hydrate

Dehydration is an issue among those dealing with dementia because they often forget to take a drink. I find it helps to keep water close by in an easy to drink form container. If a resident in my care is not taking sips, I will "offer" a reminder and my help. For those who resist, I may include high water content fruits and vegetable at mealtime, or even Jello, or a popsicle.
